Sing along all with our cast of DISNEY'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL at the top of your lungs! Audience participation is encouraged at these special performances!

The 1960's had Bye Bye Birdie, the 70's had Grease, the 80's had Footloose, and the 90's had Rent. DISNEY'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL is the 21st century's pop-culture musical phenomenon about growing up and a childhood touchstone for late Millennials and Generation Z. The smash hit movie musical now comes to life on the Roosevelt stage with all of the favorite songs from the original plus new choreography, innovative staging, and thrilling production values!

Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of first love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities. It's the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical that is being led by Ms. Darbus. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella's alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well!

RHS Theatre Etiquette:

This is live theatre so actors need you to engage with them!  Laugh, cry, and respond audibly--but please don't distract or thwart their performance with unrelated conversation.

Please POWER DOWN all cell phones and electronic devices as their signals interfere with our sound system, their screens disturb other patrons, and their notification sounds distract the performers and audience.

Snacks and beverages are available for sale in the commons before and between shows.  Please enjoy before entering the theater--it keeps our space clean and minimizes distractions to the actors and audience during the show.
